Tai Tong Dim Sum was certainly one of my most favourite place to go during dinner hours if i am around Georgetown area. A short stroll away from Prangin Mall/Komtar, this may well be certainly one of the very few locations that serve dim sum don't just for breakfast, but for supper too. This Tai Tong Dim Sum shop open from early morning till late night, but i am not quite sure what is their actual business hour. :)
There are also some famous egg tarts within the cake shop a few doors away; named Ng Kee. The shop’s famous for their biscuits too, specifically their signature pepper biscuits. Take note that they sell out the egg tarts pretty fast. Visit Tai Tong, park your car beside and order to take away will be easier.
Just don’t arrive too early. Dim sum from 6pm and beyond, ideally to return at 6.30pm++. Or else you can accept some noodles, or simply rice with dishes in case you fancy a bit bit of everything.
Normally I wish to visit Tai Tong during evening session, experience much like the dim sum is more “fresh”. My father said that in the course of his early morning session visits, the dim sum seem to be like not so fresh. Could be because of to nighttime session they can not finish offering it, they leave it until morning session. This is my assumption only !!!
