Laksa Opposite PCGHS

Penang Assam Laksa is a must eat food when someone go to Penang. Penang Assam Laksa has been selected as the No.2 must eat hawker food by way of an online poll last year. The robust aroma of the herbs, the sourness of the soup from the fragrance of the assam as well as the excellent of prawn paste makes the Assam Laksa so different from the others. There are plenty of places about town that sells this noodle.  Other ingredients that give Penang laksa its distinctive flavour incorporate lemongrass, galangal (lengkuas) and chilli. Typical garnishes include mint, pineapple slices, thinly sliced onion, he-ko, a thick sweet prawn paste and use of torch ginger flower.

Personally, the best Assam Laksa in Penang is in the hawker center open Penang Chinese Girl High School. It take so good that i normally take 2 portion when i visit there. They also sell the "Por Piah" which you can put in the Laksa and it taste good when eat together with Laksa. I feel that what make this stall Laksa so good is because of their soup. It really taste different from other stall.

This is a must taste food in Penang! The stall is at Gottlieb Road Taman Emas Coffee Shop, just opposites of Penang Chinese Girls' High School.
