Swatow Lane Hawker Food

I was introduced to go to try the food in Swatow Lane hawker center recently by my parents and it gave me a very deep impression immediately. This place is like all coffee store you will find in Penang, with the exception: they serve really nice ais kacang. Thirst quenching Ais Kacang, greatest served inside a scorching afternoon, a standard bowl costs RM2.00. If you compare this using the one sold in Lorong Selamat you will certainly discover the difference within the quantity of ingredients being served as I said prior to.


To find this place, the simplest way would be to locate McAllister Road, then look for either Abu Siti Lane or Lorong Selamat, throughout these two lanes is the Swatow Lane already. 


The other food worth a try is fried oysters, fairly cheap too at a reasonable RM5.00 per plate. The frying style of this particular stall is fairly different, he fries the oysters and eggs separately then only he put the oysters on top of the egg (as seen on pic) I think this is actually the only stall promoting at such reduced cost (for lesser quantity as well obviously) Other stalls in Penang appear to be selling starting from at least RM6.00 for the smallest plate.

You can try out other food like the curry mee and loh bak, these all worth your money.
